Consenting to Divine Love: 25 Years of Contemplative Outreach

CO2009 - A Weblog of the Annual Conference of Contemplative Outreach Chicago, Illinois, USA, September 24-27, 2009
« Back to blog

Thanks to All Who Made the Weblog Work

As weblog coordinator I want to thank Marilu Ason, Maru Ladron de Guevara, Vivien Michals and Mike Potter for coverage of the conference. A conference, even contemplative ones, can be and usually are, a very busy time and their willingness to do extra in order to bring the 25th anniversary conference to you was a true service. I also wish to thank those of you who left comments, as well as those of you who read in silence.

The weblog will remain up and active for an indefinite period of time (e.g., video of selected conference proceedings forthcoming) so feel free to leave comments and share it with others. Again, my thanks go out to everyone for a job well done.

The annual conference will take place in Atlanta next year - hope to see you there. If you'd like see a weblog of the conference next year please leave a comment below and let us know.

Blessings - Ron Barnett

OK Ron. At your suggestion i have re-posted the following comment in this current blog location, as you thought it more appropriate:

I want to thank Ron Barnet for the absolutely magnificent job he did on keeping the web blog active, alive, and interactive! I was not able to go to the conference, so his efforts and those of Maru and the others were service in action. I wasn’t clear where to leave this comment on the blog since it applies to your total effort. But thank you! I especially was touched by those of Father Keating’s talk to the Circle, about Teilhard de Chardin, and the homily. There was a transmission occurring even across the video, because his talks and homilies are so right on perfect in communicating God’s love, the action of the Spirit, and the presence of this dear wisdom teacher. I cannot thank you enough. How did you get them posted so quickly? Does your video camera catch the talks in non-linear digital format so you can just download and post, or do you have to capture first from camera to a format for digital internet viewing?

Every talk he gives, I wish there cold be someone to capture to internet if TK agrees and then we could all follow him regardless of where he is, or to what group. But that would necessitate someone being at all of his talks and homilies. The books are great, but nothing like the nuances of his spoken voice and presence.

I have not made my way through all the postings because there are new ones everyday it seems, but I am looking to see what came out of the new website splash and presentation to the community. I am sure I will find my way.

Thank you so much.

Thanks David. Some may see your kind words here but not on the social media weblog. Its fine to have them there as well.
